Shaina has been working with a veterinary clinic for 15 years. She is a manager at a doggy daycare facility, responsible for the health and safety of the dogs in the daycare and boarding programs. She is responsible for all office-related work, client communications, and creating a fun/positive environment for dogs to socialize.
Before working for the veterinary clinic, Shaina was in 4-H dairy and has won multiple awards. Including Reserve Junior Champion and Reserve Senior Champion for showing brown swiss dairy cows at the Cheshire Fair. She won trophies for best showmanship and the herds-manship award. She has a love for animals and learning. She has been working towards multiple certifications for dog training, pet grooming, and becoming an animal behaviorist. She has been studying and working towards being a veterinary technician learning through her experiences with the veterinarians at the clinic she works for and taking classes at Penn Foster, an online academy for veterinary technicians.
She lives with her husband Chris and their three dogs. Baker, Shasta daisy, and looper. Shasta daisy is pictured above as a puppy. Shaina does everything with their dogs, basic healthcare needs, grooming, training, and nutritional needs. She also does pet sitting for friends and family, allowing quality friend time for the doggies. Shaina works with Chris in developing some of the early ideas for BWA and is the primary investor in getting BWA off the ground. Being positive people and saddened by the morose state of the world during the early part of the pandemic, Shaina and Chris thought the world could use something positive to help people be happier and feel better, and this is how Sending smiles was born!
